Mahindra’s Automotive and Farm Equipment Sectors had a lot to communicate to their new hires. A $20.7 billion corporation with operations in over 100 countries around the globe, the Group would induct its new employees into its operations by educating them about its business presence, the depth of its functions, and the richness of its history.
Our approach was to plan and organise the people, communication and material components of this onboarding process, to improve its quality as well as the interaction between the Group and its employees.
We worked closely with the Group to build an interactive, gamified experience that the new hires could access via web or mobile to embark on a ‘journey of discovery’ across the Group’s activities. With instructional design to help users along their journey, easy to understand content with complete relevance to the user profile, on-demand modules for learning, and exciting games and quizzes, the onboarding portal saw a significant drop in non-completion and in the average time of completion of the induction process, while allowing users to set their own competitive pace and retain information more effectively.
